Steven Bogart
Drama, Lexington High School

Steven Bogart, one of Lexington High School’s two Drama teachers, has a B.F.A. in painting from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and his master’s degree in theater from Emerson College. Mr. Bogart has been teaching drama and art on the secondary school level for 23 years. He has shown art work all over the world including the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Berkshire Center for Contemporary Art, and Boston City Hall. He has also performed, designed and directed professionally in Boston and the Berkshires. He has directed over 100 plays and musicals. Mr. Bogart says his greatest joy in teaching is developing and producing original plays with students: “There is nothing more important to me as a teacher than providing an authentic voice for students and empowering them with their own material.”
