A note about the performance schedule: In past years, each improvisation class played at every Jazz Nite, with the exception of the beginning improvisation classes, which did not perform at the first Jazz Nite. Now, each class' performances are staggered so that the beginning improvisation classes play two concerts, the intermediate classes play three concerts, and the combo plays at all four. This change was made so that the beginning and intermediate classes can spend more class time learning the complex art of jazz improvisation, instead of turning the class into one giant concert preparation each quarter.
