| Middle School Orchestras |
Welcome to the Clarke and Diamond Middle
School Orchestras. This is a year-long course with rehearsals on Wednesday and Friday of each week. In this ensemble we study a variety of repertoire as part of our musical development and we prepare music for performance in 3-4 concerts during the year in the Lexington Schools. The Orchestras are open to all string players who have completed a minimum of:
2 years of string lessons entering 6th grade
3 years of string lessons/ensembles entering 7th grade
4 years of string lessons/ensembles entering 8th grade
Wind players in the 7/8 full orchestra are selected from the band by recommendation/audition and split their rehearsal time between the two groups |

| Participation |
| Middle School Orchestras are open
to all string players. Winds are selected by audition from the Band. |
| |
| Each student must attend two rehearsals
a week. Students may split rehearsal time between two performing groups
only with the permission of the instructors. |
