Introduction

The gods are back! After a few thousand years of being ousted from the spotlight, the ancient dieties of Greece and Rome wish to be worshipped again! The following obstacle remains: Who will worship them? How will the god of gods intimidate people with his thunderbolt in our age of technology and WMDs? And who on earth will worship the most beautiful goddess when mortals stroll about tempting other mortals in hip hugger jeans and stiletto heals after undergoing plastic surgery? During their largest convention on Mt. Olympus in two millennia, the gods decided to reinvent themselves. They need a new image! In order to mingle with mortals each god will create a company, provide a service, or produce a product. And the best way to get the word out that they are back is to ..... ADVERTISE!!!!!

The Task

You are a Greek god/goddess in the modern world. You need to reinvent yourself so that mortals will worship you again. You disguise yourself as a mortal and create a company, provide a service, or produce a product.....Then advertise with a business card and an advertisement.

The Process

1. Choose a god or goddess to immpersonate.

2. Evaluate the original domain of your god/goddess.

* What area of nature or life was his/her special responsiblity?

* What powers did s/he possess?

* What special qualities marked his/her appearance or dress?

* What animal or plant was associated with him/her?

* Did s/he have any quirks in personality or appearance?

* What objects were associated with him/her?

3. Choose a city or specific geographical location to reside. (International)

4. Create a business card for your business, service, or product.

Your business card must have:

* your name (ie, name of god/goddess)

* a logo

* your company, service, or product

4. Design an advertisement that promotes your business, service, or product.

* a brochure

* a print advertisement for a magazine or newspaper
