Welcome to Level 1 Geometry.  This website will give you most of the information that you will need during the course of the year.  This course will be a traditional course in Euclidean Geometry.  We will be learning how to discover theorems using pencil and paper as well as using The Geometer's Sketchpad.  The Geometer's Sketchpad is a piece of exploratory software created by Key Curriculum Press.   We will be using this program both in the classroom with our SmartBoard (interactive white board) as well as in the lab.  In 2002 , thanks to a grant from the Lexington Education Foundation, we created 3 G.E.O. Rooms (Geometric Exploration Opportunity Rooms).  Most geometry classes are being taught in these rooms.  They are equipped with manipulatives that are helpful in exploring geometry as well as a SmartBoard.  The SmartBoard will allow me to stand up at the board and use the computer so that I will be teaching from the board instead of from behind a computer.
