Welcome to Statistics, Probability, and Data Analysis.  This website will give you most of the information that you will need during the course of the year.  We will be learning statistics using the book, Workshop Statistics. We will be learning how to gather and analyze data using the TI-83 Plus calculator as well as the computer program, Fathom.  Fathom is a piece of statistics software created by Key Curriculum Press.    We will be using this program both in the classroom with our SmartBoard (interactive white board) as well as in the lab.  Two years ago , thanks to a grant from the Lexington Education Foundation, we created 3 G.E.O. Rooms (Geometric Exploration Opportunity Rooms).  All geometry classes are being taught in these rooms. Each room contains a SmartBoard. We were able to schedule our statistics class in one of the G.E.O. rooms so that we could use Fathom on the SmartBoard.  The SmartBoard will allow me to stand up at the board and use the computer so that I will be teaching from the board instead of from behind a computer.  I am very excited about teaching statistics in a G.E.O. room, this year.
