4. There will be a "homework quiz" some day next week. A homework quiz is one or two questions very similar to recent homework questions. "Recent" in this case will mean sections 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4

2. Problems 1.2 #35-41 odd, 51, 55-59 odd, 60. In the instructions for #55-60, "bounded on its domain" means "bounded above and below".

Test on Tue, Sep 16 (A, D) or Wed, Sep 17 (F)

The test will cover all of the homework and in-class work since the start of the year. This includes:
1. Equation solving (not exponential or logarithmic)
2. The "Functions and Equations Review" handout
3. The "Common Errors" handout
4. Factoring
5. Text section 1.1, especially the problems done for homework.
6. Regression on the calculator (both linear and quadratic)

Calculators WILL BE required. Be sure to bring your own.

Homework Due Monday, Sep 15 (all blocks)

1. Study section 1.2, p. 78-87
2. Problems 1.2 #1-7 odd, 9-14 all, 15-25 odd, 29, 33. One of the answers for #1-7 is wrong. Can you determine which one?

Homework Due Thurs, Sep 11 (A) or Fri, Sep 12 (D, F)

Text section 1.1, problems #1-18. For #13-17, use the calculator and LINEAR regression. Do not erase the data, scatter plots, or graphs from your calculator until after the 9/11 or 9/12 class.
