VI. Committee Reports:

1) Policy met, discussed new version of sophomore open campus bill

VII. Library Pass Bill:

1) When going to the library, it's probably to print something out, but when underclassmen get there, all the computers are taken

2) Basically a nuisance to need a computer and not be able to get one

3) This won't make more people show up late to study hall

4) Librarians check against tardiness by marking time of entry

5) Teachers being late is not a student problem to be addressed by Senate, but rather one to be taken care of by the Administration

6) Not a proponent of taking a load off of students and putting it on teachers

7) We need to talk to the librarians about this before it's passed

8) Today swayed me more towards passing the bill, however "before the block ends" could literally be 5 seconds before the end of the block

9) Move to eliminate last sentence in part three, just so it makes sense, passes

10) The hardest part in the process is students actually getting passes

11) F.A. decapitalize L in library

12) Allowing everyone to get to study hall sooner doesn't solve anything

13) Passes are difficult to interpret, as in who the teacher is, or even the student

14) Move to table the bill till climate discusses it with librarians and secretaries

15) We'll table if everyone thinks things are flushed out

16) Move to table, or rather, table at end of current speaking order

17) Passed, in locked speaking order

18) The bill would speed up access to computers

19) Bill tabled

VIII. New Business:

1) Start an informal discussion of Activity Requirement bill

2) Bill reads that athletes have different requirements (2.0 GPA)MIAA standards should apply to activities so that there is no double standard

3) Sports are state mandated, that's not fair to other activities, French club shouldn't have a GPA requirement

4) Moderator Krensky "Whoa, if the French Club is slighted one more time, I'll write a bill which disallows French Club bashing

5) This bill would eliminate choices for students not doing well

6) Some Senators are misinterpreting the bill, it only mandates for activities which meet for more than 5 hours per week
