Academics
The Program of Studies is published yearly to outline the course selection process for the upcoming year. It includes a short description of each academic course offered at LHS.
The Student handbook is an on-line version of the handbook given to each student. This handbook contains the policies and procedures in place at LHS.
Community service is a graduation requirement for each student at LHS. The Student/Faculty Senate Community Service page provides details on this requirement.
Student Activities
The High School offers a variety of activities outside the classroom to encourage the total development of students. Currently students participate in over 40 extracurricular activities. This is in addition to a full program of curriculum related activities including performing arts and debate. A snapshot of the list of activities is available, but for the up-to-date list (updated monhtly) of clubs and activities is available for LHS students by going to your First Class Desktop, clicking on LHS Online Community and then selecting LHS Activities.
Athletics
LHS students compete in 27 sports on 51 teams.
During the 2008-2009 year, a number of teams, including boys soccer, Field hockey, boys and girls ice hockey, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls lacrosse and softball advanced to post season tournament play. The girls softball team repeated as the Division 1 State champion.
